THE DARKEST HOUR (Cry of an angel) Season 2 Episode 25

There was an expression of surprise on Mrs Williams face. She waited for the doctor to repeat his statement coz she couldn't believe he was talking about Udoka, her daughter whom she trained to be responsible at all times. She nurtured her children to the core even when they were nothing.
The doctor leaned back on his seat to see her reaction.
"Doctor, did just say three weeks pregnant?" Mrs Williams asked.
"Yes" the doctor replied.
Mrs Williams gazed at a spot then gave the doctor a confidential smile. "Thank you very much" she stood up and went outside. She told Monica and others about the current state of health of Udoka but never mentioned the pregnancy part of it. Nurses were still wandering about rushing in and out of each ward when Mrs Williams reached her bag then said to Monica, "I want to see you at your apartment"
"Okay, mother" Monica replied while Faith and Adaku looked at each other in a way that shows: THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG.
However, Ernest had called David and Mike. He told them about the incidence but only Mike gave a listening ear. David didn't care rather shouted at Ernest for calling him.
Nevertheless, Mrs Williams got to her daughters' apartment. She kept her bag without smiling and sat on one of the couches while the three girls sat opposite her with Monica in between.
"I thank God my daughter, Udoka, is fine" Mrs Williams began. "But there is something that baffles me now which i know one of you must know about it"
The three girls glanced at each other speechlessly then Mrs Williams said, "Udoka is three weeks pregnant. Tell me about it Monica"
"Pregnant?" Monica voiced out amazingly. "Mother, i have no idea about that"
"You mean you have been with your sister and you don't know that she's pregnant! I guess you won't know who is responsible for it too"
"Who else except David?"
"David?"
"Yes, mother"
"I thought he was a responsible young man. Well, i blame my daughter for being so weak to be deceived. I want to speak with that David" Mrs Williams demanded.
Adaku and Faith were still quiet when Monica looked at them coz they knew what was on ground: David and Udoka weren't in good terms for a reason nobody knows. How they wish Mrs Williams would understand that.
"Call David on the phone!!" Mrs Williams shrieked.
"Yes, mother" Monica stood up swiftly. She remembered that her phone crashed then took Udoka's which the policemen handed to her at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Mr Robinson had called David on the phone telling him to came home base on what Ugonma told him.
Monica called the number severally but David didn't pick up.
"Mother, he's not picking up" she said.
"What nonsense!" Mrs Williams stood up. "Take me to his house or lodge wherever he is now!" she glanced at her wrist watch: 2:10pm.

At David's apartment, Mike witnessed him gone to their house after he told him to go see Udoka first but he refused. As he was about leaving the apartment, Sandra arrived still on mini skirt.
"Have you heard?" Mike began.
"Udoka is dead, right?" Sandra replied then Mike looked at her suspiciously.
"Are you the one who sent the gun men to kill her?"
"Please, spare me that" Sandra walked towards the door. She pushed and knock on it but found it locked.
"David is not in. He has gone home" Mike told her.
"Why?"
"The father called him"
Sandra brought out her phone to call David but Mike's voice prevented her saying, "Udoka is not dead"
Sandra quickly looked at him for a while then asked, "How do you know?"
"I won't say any other thing"
"Why?"
"You know what to do"
Sandra reached her bag and brought out huge amount of money. She handed it to Mike who collected it smiling.
"Udoka survived the bullets. She's presently at Fumbi hospital. Ernest told me" Mike reported.
Sandra's face was filled with surprises. She couldn't believe it! Her next plan was to kill Udoka by herself coz she knew the consequences if Udoka lives to see the sun set the next. As she wanted to step out angrily, a range rover car arrived. Both stared at it until Mrs Williams and Monica came out of it. When Monica saw Sandra, she disdained her.
"Good day, ma'am" Mike greeted.
"Your faces look familiar" Mrs Williams went closer to Sandra. "You are.."
"Sandra" Sandra interrupted.
"Oh, you are the Sandra"
"Yes"
"I want to see David"
"He has gone home" Mike interfered then Mrs Williams turned.
"You know the way to their house, right?"
"Yes, Ma'am" Mike replied.
"Take us there now" Mrs Williams stepped out followed by Monica and Mike.
"I hope there is no problem" Sandra asked from behind.
"It's none of your business" Monica retorted then the mother looked at Sandra steadily then moved forward. They entered the car and drove away. Sandra also entered her car briskly and drove out. On her way, she called the assassins again..
