THE DARKEST HOUR (Cry of an angel) Season 1 Episode 32

FLASH BACK
:
After Dike left the resident of his brother without sleeping with the wife, he got angry and went to the farm where Williams, his brother was. One could see him walking like a mad warrior. His chest bounced up and down with the heartbeat. Grasses flung on his legs making intersecting movements. Immediately he met the brother in the farm, he face changed.
"Hi, brother"
"Dike.." Williams straightened up. He had a hoe in his hand and a hat on his head. "What are you doing here?"
"I was crossing to check my trap so i decided to check on you" Dike replied moving towards a gallon of water.
"But who told you i'm in the farm?"
"Oh, your wife did after i visited the twins"
"Alright"
"Let me drink some of your water"
"Go ahead" Williams bent down to work again..

CONTINUITY
Chief Dike continued with the Ofo in his hand while everybody listened to him. "After drinking the water, i poisoned it with a sleeping medicine with the hope that after my brother drinks it, he would fall into a deep sleep. I left the farm, came back an hour later just to fine Williams deep in sleep. I carried him to the dark forest.."
"Heeey!" the villagers interrupted.

FLASH BACK
Williams work up after few hours and found himself in the dark forest of Ndiogoro. He took off his hat and dusted dead grasses from his body.
"What am i doing here?" he looked around the tall trees. Due to the darkness of the forest, he was able to predict his position. "What.. how.. what am i doing in the dark forest of our land?" he stammered. Just as he wanted to run out, group of boys caught him.
"Abomination!"
"Williams, what are you doing in the dark forest when you know that it's an abomination for the father of twins to enter there?" the second man asked.
"I don't know how i got there oh" Williams' voice frightened.
"Lair!" the boys grabbed him. As they beat and dragged him to the village square, others joined. They wounded him with sharp object, stones and sticks. Blood gushed out from his nose, mouth and other part of his body. He couldn't talk anymore for there was no strength remaining in him thereby causing his lips to vibrate until he was stoned to death...

CONTINUITY
Already, Udoka and Monica were in tears likewise their mother and other people like Faith and Adaku. Tears could also be seen in the eyes of chief Dike.
"You bastard!" Mrs Williams wanted to attack chief Dike but David and Ernest prevented her. "Leave me alone!" she shouted.
The king ordered the twins to be untied. After that, they ran to their mother and hugged them. Everybody was waiting for the final judgement from the king. Already, some were criticising and plotting their own judgement thereby arising a soliloquy among them.
"My people of Ndiogoro!" the king began while all kept quiet. "The evil men do lives with them. History cannot not be forgotten and there is nothing hidden under the sun. This issue is a serious one. First, i have to declare the family of Williams Anochie free from outcast and urge chief Dike here to give back anything he took from the family. These people should see me in the palace for further issues"
Everybody began to disappear one after the other. Instantly, Sandra met David who was staring at Udoka. She held his hand without minding the crowd. Monica disengaged from her mother and hugged Ernest who stood beside David.
"Thank you" she said.
"Welcome" Ernest reciprocated.
Udoka turned to do the same but the presence of Sandra prevented her. So she just waved at David who also waved at him with a smile. Sandra disdained him.
"I'll see you before i go back to school" Ernest told Monica who nodded her head and left immediately.

At the resident of Nneowa, the grandmother of David, Sandra, Mike, Ernest, David and the mother were all in the sittingroom. David knew very well that he was about to face questions, not only from his mother and grandmother but Sandra too.
"What happened today is remarkable" Nneowa began. "Though, i wasn't there but i saw and heard everything"
"How, granny?" David queried.
"What an elder see seating down, even if a child climb the highest mountain, he will not see it"
All smiled at the riddle except Mrs Robinson who adjusted on her seat. Seeing Sandra beside David doubled the number of her inquisition.
"David" she began.
"Mum" David got prepared.
"Why did u travel all the way from school to this village?"
"Because of the bloody tradition that wanted to take place"
"Do you know those twins?"
"Yes"
"Since when?"
"Not too long"
"Do you have anything doing with one of them?"
"Some thing like?"
"You know what I'm talking about!"
"I don't know what you are talking about, mum!" David provoked. "Fine, one of them is a girl whom i love. I have a relationship with her"
Everywhere calmed down, Mike looked at Sandra. He could see an expression of a broken heart and disappointment on her face.
"So, this is why u came to inquire about Mr Williams family" Nneowa broke the silence..
